Experienced Latin America traveler, speak some Spanish, or visiting Guatapé for the second time? Go DIY. Take the early bus, beat the crowds, set your own pace. Traveling as a couple or group of 3–4? Consider a private tour ($85/person) — you get the convenience of a tour with the flexibility of going solo. It's the best of both worlds and only slightly more expensive than a group tour when you split it.
